Vector charts contain all needed depthsoundings and navigational data but less information on shore and otherfeatures. Both raster and vector charts come fromNOAA and can generally be trusted.

In all, you see yourboat moving on the chart and can mark some sort of waypoints on your chart.Some allow you to create a route you can then follow when navigating. Only onehas a rich list of navigating features more advanced sailors will like.
