The first “Prevent Plastic Pollution” conference successfully took place in Limassol, Cyprus, on April 6-8, 2022. This event was organized by the International Sailing Schools Association (ISSA) and the German-Polish-Swedish “Pomerania” Fleet International Yachting Fellowship of Rotarians (IYFR).
The main goal of this project is to make people aware that there is a real problem and encourage them to behave in such a way that we don't contribute to increasing the pollution.
ISSA would like to transform the students into ambassadors for conscious behavior in terms of environment protection, and this does not refer to water only. ISSA will also introduce the concept of “Reuse, Reduce and Recycle” into the training courses.
